Companies get serious about water use

It’s about time:  Companies get serious about water use.  A really interesting article about the global stresses of water shortage. It’s great that Levis now use 96% less water to produce a pair of jeans, but it’s terrifying that so much water has been wasted and polluted for so long. If that much saving is possible in other companies and industries it could make a massive difference.

If these changes are not made, and soon, lack of water will cause hardship, conflict for people and devestation to the environment – which of course will be further damaged by conflict and desperate people, so the cycle spirals downwards…

We can all make a difference in our water footprint – check out my previous post on the subject: How much water does it take to produce our food?
